Verna Clinton is Naakaii Dine’é (Moving About) born for Mà’ii Deeshgiizhnii (Coyote Pass) from Star Mountain. She is a native of Teesto, Arizona and currently works as a teacher at Chinle Elementary School on the Navajo Nation. Verna Clinton illustrated Diné Bizaad Bohoo’aah, a Navajo literacy text, and K’e Bina Niltin, a text for teaching community relations and kinship. She is also the author and illustrator of Ashkii’s Journey, the story of a twelve-year-old boy’s journey into manhood.
