Ryan Singer is a member of the Navajo Nation and originally from Tuba City, Arizona. He currently resides in a little town called Maricopa, just south of Phoenix, where he works out of his home. Ryan is also a student at Arizona State University in Tempe, working toward a bachelor's degree in fine art.

Ryan's artwork has been influenced by comic books, native art, pop art, surrealism, and recent underground art movements from all over the globe. Ryan's bold, unique style draws significant attention at the art shows he attends throughout the Southwest, and has earned him awards at the Heard Museum and the Museum of Northern Arizona.

Jóhonaa'éí: Bringer of Dawn is Ryan's first book. Creating the illustrations for the story was a special experience for him, as his young son will soon start learning to read.
